For Their Future
Asset Management Plan
Declining enrollment and declining revenues from the state during the past few years have made it prudent for the Cypress School District to close schools and change school boundaries. More recently, the District has been reviewing how best to utilize these closed sites to support programs and services for students.
As a result, we have developed a surplus property plan which identifies potential surplus properties which include five closed schools, Mackay, Cawthon, Damron, Swain, and Dickerson, as well as the District office property.
The plans being developed will help offset budget reductions by generating unrestricted general fund income to support programs and services for students and staff.
